The city of Shenyang, capital of Liaoning province opened an interesting photo 

exhibition of its former self, Shengjing (its name, 1634  57), on Dec 4, which will

 run for a month to mar the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between 

China and France.

The 57 photos on display were taken by a French team, led by a financier, 

Albert Kahn, between 1909 and 1912, when he began a project, Planet 

Archives, to record different places at his time and China was an focus

 of the project.

The exhibition will also have a 3D video on the previous look of 

Zhongjie St, the city's most famous commercial area, with a long,
